Hello!

I’m Alison Swing. I’m a Graphic Designer and Art Director based in Berlin, originally from Los Angeles.

With over 16 years of experience, I specialize in apparel design, packaging, and art direction — guiding projects from concept through production. At tokidoki I led the design of the full apparel line for over 15 years. I developed seasonal themes, created original concepts, and designed collections that included collaborations with major IP like Sanrio (Hello Kitty), Marvel, Barbie, Peanuts, Karl Lagerfeld, Godzilla and many more.

Beyond design, I managed production-ready files, collaborated with factories, and ensured all assets — from graphics to hangtags and woven labels — aligned with both brand and partner guidelines.

My career began with an early passion for design that led to an internship in LA and a 15-year role at tokidoki, where I shaped everything from apparel to packaging and global IP collaborations.

I bring a strong point of view rooted in storytelling, character, and cohesion. Whether working with bold visuals or adapting existing identities, I thrive on aligning creative ideas with real-world needs.

I'm highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, and I’m quick to adapt to new tools. In recent years, I’ve expanded into packaging and brand systems — areas I’m excited to continue exploring. Apparel remains a core focus and creative outlet.

I offer a global perspective, a collaborative mindset, and a deep love for visual identity across formats — from fashion to packaging, branding to printed matter.

*Outside of design, I perform and curate under the name Alison Swing. I've toured internationally as a DJ, co-founded the Dig Deeper series in Los Angeles, and curated events in Berlin at venues like Paloma and Renate. These experiences inform my creative direction across both visual and sonic mediums.
